HARSENS ISLAND -- Unless tempers cool this weekend, John Horvath and the state agriculture department are heading for a showdown Monday over Horvath's ash trees. The state has hired contractors to remove the 86 trees from Horvath's land as well as 1,900 ash trees at five other St. Clair County sites, all within a mile of the St. Clair River.
